The date for Arsenal’s rearranged Premier League fixture against West Brom has been confirmed and will now take place on a Thursday evening.

There doesn’t seem to be an obvious reason that the game couldn’t take place on the Wednesday evening of the same week, but Sky Sports will be showing us live on TV on Thursday 21st April, between two Sunday afternoon matches.

The Gunners should’ve welcomed West Brom to the Emirates Stadium at the weekend, but the fixture had to be rearranged due to our participation in the FA Cup quarter-final against Watford.

It could still be a crucial game in the Premier League title race and you will be able to catch three consecutive games on Sky, as we play Crystal Palace at home on the previous Sunday and Sunderland away the Sunday after.

Hopefully we still have the big prize to be playing for by then.

At least fans now know when the fixtures will take place. We’d all rather be in the FA Cup, but not heading to Wembley at least means the dates and times of our league matches can be confirmed.
