Arsenal are looking for another attacking talent and Henrikh Mkhitaryan could be targeted this summer.

That’s according to German tabloid Bild (per Sport Witness), who claim the Gunners are interested in the Borussia Dortmund star enjoying the season of his life.

With 19 goals and 23 assists in all competitions this season, Mkhitaryan has proven his worth as one of the best players in Germany, if not Europe. Even outshining Marco Reus and arguably Ilkay Gündogan and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a star-studded Dortmund side, the midfielder has kicked on under Thomas Tuchel and is truly delivering performances of the highest quality on a consistent basis.

Unfortunately, for the German giants, there is just over a year to run on the Armenian’s current contract so the upcoming summer is a big one. Agent Mino Raiola will be strong in negotiations and demand a huge deal or try and move the player on, something Dortmund will be dead set against.

Capable of playing in any attacking midfield role, the 27-year-old has become a crucial component in Thomas Tuchel’s side and doesn’t seem to be thinking about leaving just yet. Next season Dortmund will be in the Champions League and – if this season’s form is anything to go by – more than capable of lifting the trophy. It seems like the wrong time to leave and they will do anything to keep Mkhitaryan at the Westfalenstadion.
