It was a quiet day on the Arsenal news front as all eyes are firmly trained on Old Trafford for Sunday’s match.

Leicester grabbed all three points with a late winner over Norwich and moved five points clear while also in the land of crazy, Yaya Sanogo grabbed a hattrick for Charlton – his first ever professional one. Withdrawn late in the game with cramp, Charlton then conceded and ended up losing the game 3-4.

On the gossip front, Arsenal were linked with Gonzalo Higuain who was apparently refusing to sign a new deal with Napoli before his agent came out and said that he was happy at Napoli a few hours later. Yawn.

On the other side of the transfer rumour mill, it was being claimed that Arsenal were ready to sell Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, a rumour we look at later in-depth. (hint: we laugh).

We’ve been working hard to bring you the best pre-Manchester United coverage around so here is a selection of what we’ve done over the past 24 hours (all posts can be found in our Match Centre)

In other news, youngster Alex Iwobi has been invited to join up with Nigeria for Brazil game, and we ask are Arsenal poised to grab another Barcelona youngster as scouts spotted at club?

Talented centre-back Pleguezuelo is hopeful of summer loan move while you can have a laugh as the Barcelona manager walks out of press conference when asked about Wenger comments, which caught us by surprise as we were just expecting to hear some platitudes about the game as he spoke to the media ahead of their La Liga match this weekend.

Finally Usmanov has increased his stake in Arsenal by buying shares from Farhad Moshiri who used that money to buy a 49.9% stake in Everton.
