A 1-1 draw with a strong Wolves side on Monday night extended Arsenal u21s’ unbeaten run to six matches as they continued a strong season so far.
Arsenal took the lead with just more than 15 minutes on the clock through Dutch teenager Donyell Malen, who showed his impressive turn of pace before slotting the ball into the bottom corner. At just 17, Malen is a player to watch. The former Ajax striker has now scored 10 for Arsenal this season, with five goals at under-21 level in nine appearances (and just six starts).
However, Arsenal’s lead was short lived. An own goal (though some have given Tommy Rowe credit for the strike) had Wolves level in the 18th minute, before the visitors went on to dominate much of the game.
Ht. 1-1. Wolves playing some senior players and have caused problems for Arsenal. Huddart has made some good saves. Malen always a threat.

The introductions of Ismael Bennacer and Krystian Bielik were undoubtedly an attempt to regain some control in midfield, but Arsenal failed to grab a winner even after bringing on striker Stephy Mavididi.
