It looks as if we could have seen Tomas Rosicky play his last match in an Arsenal shirt after his thigh strain has turned out to be far worse than was originally suspected.

After seven months on the sidelines, the midfielder made his big return against Burnley in the FA Cup and appeared to be fine. However, afterwards it emerged that he’d sustained a thigh strain and would be out of action yet again.

After the injury was assessed, it turned out it was even worse than we feared and that he could be out for the rest of the season.

Considering Rosicky is out of contract in the summer and it’s not looking as if we’re going to extend his time with us, it’s likely that he won’t play for us again, which is such a huge shame. He’s always been a favourite player of mine and it’s sad that he didn’t get the chance to have a proper send off after so many years in north London.
