Mathieu Flamini wished his fellow countryman, Mathieu Debuchy, luck for his loan move to Ligue 1 club Bordeaux.

The right-back secured a deadline day loan move to the French team after trying to escape from north London for a while. No longer happy with warming our bench, the 30-year-old wanted the best chance of being spotted and hopefully picked for Euro 2016 and therefore, when Hector Bellerin took his position in the starting XI, he started to nudge his way toward to exit.

Thankfully for him, he managed to get his perfect loan move, considering he’ll be right under the nose of Didier Deschamps in France. Other teams, such as Roma, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Manchester United were all interested but when Bordeaux came a-knocking, there was only one place Debuchy was going.

Hopefully he gets plenty of playing time there and whether he returns to us or not, we also wish him the best of luck.
