There were three things on the minds of the Arsenal players after Sunday’s win against Bournemouth.
The Gunners hadn’t won in four Premier League games heading into the game and found themselves eight points behind Leicester City in the chase for the Premier League title, so victory was incredibly welcome. What really stood out for the players, though?
- Winning
- Keeping a clean sheet
- Leicester City
Back to winning ways. Great 3 points and clean sheet . ⚽️👍🏻https://t.co/e8JfwcAIyp

Great to get that winning feeling back! Important win for us, and a clean sheet. #COYGpic.twitter.com/ZxO3LuXUmi

Unsurprisingly, Petr Čech was happy with his clean sheet (as was Héctor Bellerín). The Czech made two brilliant stops in injury time to add to his Premier League clean sheet record, which is now at 174 matches without conceding.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain ended an unwanted run of 37 Premier League games without a goal by netting Arsenal’s second, but his eyes were firmly on next weekend, when the Gunners take on Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium.
Important win for us today. Roll on next weekend for another big one! #COYG🔴⚪️https://t.co/iJRKVrOxE0

The same can be said of Laurent Koscielny.

Between them, this Arsenal squad seems incredibly excited for next week’s huge game. Now five points behind with 13 games to go, there’s no overstating how important the visit of the Foxes could be. Thank goodness we managed to get back to winning ways before the big one comes around.
