Speaking after beating us 1-0 at the Emirates on Sunday, Guus Hiddink admitted that he thought Chelsea should have scored more.
After being reduced to 10 men in the 18th minute after Per Mertesacker got a straight red card for taking down Chelsea’s last man, which just so happened to be Diego Costa, it was only a matter of time before the visitors got the upper hand.
Although we only managed to concede the one goal and did have a few chances of our own towards the end of the game, it could have been worse and the Blues’ interim manager agrees. In fact, in his post-match interview, he appeared somewhat disappointed that Chelsea didn’t manage to kill the game off.
