Arsene Wenger met with the press immediately after Arsenal’s third round FA Cup win over Sunderland on Saturday at the Emirates.
The boss spoke about the quality of the three goals scored by Arsenal and his amazing record of never having lost in the third round of the competition, among other things.
Arsenal are still on track to become the first side to win three FA Cups in a row the the modern era, something that hasn’t been done since 1886 when Blackburn Rovers completed a hattrick with a win against West Brom in a replay.
Speaking to the media, Wenger was asked about the possibility of winning the third and he replied “We have only one left to win. We have done it twice. What I will say is we take this competition with a desire to do well in it and to try to win it. It is a long way in the cup and you need a long run.”
