Arsene Wenger revealed that both Alexis and new signing, Mohamed Elneny, could both potentially feature against Stoke on Sunday.
The boss spoke ahead of the Premier League match and said that although it’s not exactly likely that Alexis will play, there is a chance.
In addition, midfielder Elneny could also play. However, Wenger wants see how well everyone else recovers from the Liverpool game before adding the former Basel man into the mix. Playing him straight away against Stoke might be throwing him to the wolves slightly.
In other team news, Rosicky isn’t quite ready to play for the first team. He needs a game with the u21s first, but other than that, we have everyone from the Liverpool match available.
Gradually players are beginning to return and with the addition of Elneny, we’re in danger of actually looking like a complete squad. Hopefully Stoke don’t come along and ruin it.
