Arsenal man Mesut Özil has wished his Germany team-mate Jerome Boateng well after the defender suffered a serious injury on Friday evening.
The Bundesliga has returned and Bayern Munich won 2-1 beat Hamburger SV as the second half of the season began, but they paid a price.
Not long into the second half, Germany international Boateng went down in his own box and seemed to signal an issue with his groin. Bayern haven’t released much detail about the injury but it seems to be an adductor issue similar to the one which has seen Mario Götze sidelined since the start of October.
Boateng is a crucial part of Bayern’s side and a crucial part of the Germany team that Özil will be representing at Euro 2016 this summer. His hopes of winning the competition have suffered a serious blow if Boateng’s injury is as serious as it may be so it is no wonder our playmaker is hoping his national teammate returns before too long.
Get well soon, Bro! ✊🙏 #DieMannschaft #dfbteam #boateng @JB17Official pic.twitter.com/Tj1V12Po2V
