Liverpool have signed Steven Caulker from QPR and the defender will be eligible to play against Arsenal on Wednesday night.
The 24-year-old former Spurs player has been languishing in the reserves at Southampton where he had been on loan since the start of the season but has been snapped up by Jurgen Klopp on loan and shows the true depth of the injury crisis/recruitment policy at Anfield after his first loan was cancelled.
Caulker made a total of 29 appearances for Spurs, 46 for Yeovil Town, 30 for Bristol City, 26 for Swansea, 39 for Cardiff, 36 for QPR and just eight for Southampton before moving to Liverpool in what will be his fifth loan spell.
In case you missed it above, Caulker is still only 24 despite having played for half the clusbs in the country.
Still, he’ll be awesome, right?
From a Liverpool fan who probably hasn’t seem him play:
Would start Caulker vs Arsenal & United. Giroud is great in the air while Martial is lightening quick. Caulker should be able to deal w/both

And a Southampton one who most probably has:
Liverpool’s best strategy tomorrow is to play Caulker up front, tell him to mark Origi and hope Arsenal get confused.
