With Arsenal set to land one midfielder in Mohamed Elneny, it seems as if they might be trying to bring in a few more and one of those could be Grzegorz Krychowiak if his most recent comments are anything to go by.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Four Four Two, the Polish midfielder admitted that he was aware of Arsenal’s interest in him but that he was leaving it all to his agent to sort out.

Don’t believe us? Here are his actual words:

“I’ve heard about Arsenal, but I leave it to my agent. I trust him and he’s the one who deals with that kind of the stuff. I can’t think about things like that. I have to keep my mind free of any distraction and just focus on doing my job for Sevilla.”

Krychowiak has, as you might know, been linked with Arsenal for a few transfer windows now and it’s hard to see Arsenal going back for him when they are so close to landing Elneny who can play as a defensive midfielder.

Krychowiak also seems to be preparing for a future with his current club as he added “2015 was a perfect year. We’ve set up specific goals as a team and achieved all of them.

“I wanted to win the Europa League and qualify for the Champions League with Sevilla, and secure a spot in Euro 2016 with Poland. We’ve done all that. It’s a 100% success ratio.

“Now we want to accomplish the exact same goals in Spain and to have a good run in France. I don’t set individual goals, because it’s a team game. When the team plays good football and wins a lot of games, each player benefits from that.

“I definitely want to be a better player, but it will only happen when the team does well.”

Of course, things change, including the goals a player sets for himself and at just 25 he certainly has his best years ahead of him.

Will any of those be at Arsenal?

I can’t see it, but you never know.

At least we know for sure that this is one player Arsenal have been actively interested in and it isn’t just all media nonsense.

That’s an even rarer thing than an Arsenal transfer.
