Alex Iwobi gave another brilliant performance against Burnley in our 2-1 win at the Emirates on Saturday but the player took time after the match to talk about his team-mate.

Chambers scored our first goal of the game and Iwobi admitted after the match that the full-back is more than a little bit pleased with his contribution to the game.

“Oh my gosh, he’s still talking about it now,” Iwobi said.

“Everyone was talking about it in the showers. He was like, ‘Canaldo is what they call him now’. It’s just funny.”

It’s good to hear our players have such a good relationship in the dressing room and it’s also great to hear that Chambers is taking so much pride in his goal. It was brilliant.

The former Southampton man hasn’t had the best time at Arsenal since joining. Injury has kept him on the fringes of the squad and when he has been given the chance, nerves and general lack of playing time have hampered his play. Fortunately, he should take heart from scoring and realise he is capable of putting in a good performance when we need him.
