Cesc Fabregas is bound to face a mixed reaction when he steps out onto the pitch at the Emirates.
Although the boos are likely to be slightly more muted than last time the former Gunner traveled to his old home, they will definitely be there and it’s hard to predict how he’ll react. Saying this, Chelsea’ s interim manager, Guus Hiddink, reckons the negative reaction “might encourage him”.
The Spaniard hasn’t had the best season at Chelsea. The 28-year-old only scored his first goal of the Premier League campaign against Everton in the Blues’ last fixture, and has only assisted three.
The former Barcelona playmaker has also been involved in controversy off the pitch after it was rumoured that he staged a revolt against Jose Mourinho, although no one really knows what happened there except the people involved.
As many have already said, rather than wasting your energy booing Cesc, just cheer on our own players, particular Petr Cech, as loudly as possible. Who cares about the Chelsea players? Let’s just support our’s.
