Pep Guardiola has reportedly met with Manchester United officials to discuss taking over from Louis van Gaal, putting yet another nail in the coffin of rumours that he could be heading to north London.

The Bayern Munich boss has been rumoured to be on his way to both of the Manchester clubs, as well as Arsenal, since confirming that he wants to head to England. However, as unlikely as it seemed that he was going to come to us, the rumours have now been thoroughly put to bed since Arsene Wenger appears to be signing a new contract.

According to L’Equipe, Pep supposedly met with the Red Devils’ officials recently to talk about a potential move to the club.

Although United have quickly denied the claims, would they really let the world know if they were discussing a move for the former Barcelona manager, considering Van Gaal still has until next year in Manchester?

What is clear is that we’re definitely not signing the manager.
