Kieran Gibbs believes that although Liverpool are a strong side, especially since Jurgen Klopp was introduced, Arsenal should be able to come away from Anfield with three points.
The 26-year-old highlighted the importance of dominating the game from the outset but doesn’t think this will be easy by any stretch.
Speaking ahead of the Premier League clash, he said, “There are not many teams who can beat us. Liverpool is a great club and their fans and stadium are great. It is going to be a hard game – they have a new manager who has come in and improved their team.”
It’ll be an interesting match and definitely hard to predict. While we are playing well and are capable of beating anyone on our day, it’s whether we actually decide that Wednesday is ‘our day’ or not. In addition, Liverpool are usually pretty strong on their home turf and we’ve been on the wrong end of a few embarrassing results against the Reds before.
Saying this, we’re far better equipped to deal with the pressure now and apart from the odd rogue loss to the likes of Southampton, we don’t seem to capitulate nearly as easily anymore.
