Juventus’ manager, Massimiliano Allegri, has denied that Arsenal target, Simone Zaza, will be leaving the Serie A club any time soon.

Speaking recently, Allegri actually seemed a little miffed that there were even rumours about the 24-year-old leaving the club.

“I don’t understand why he should go away, there should not be this storm about him,” he said.

“I speak to him every day, he is a player with great quality who has improved a lot and is important for us, so it’s fair that he stays here. We have four top-quality players in attack and they should fight for their places.”

Touchy much?

The striker has six goals in 11 appearances for Juventus so far this season so is clearly able to score despite not getting a lot of playing time. However, he is under contract with the Italian club until 2020.

Of course, this is all a moot point considering it appears Juventus don’t want to let him go and I highly doubt we were interested in the first place. Although buying a back-up striker to Giroud might be beneficial considering it’s taking Welbeck 100 years to heal, we already have Theo, and Alexis soon to return. Therefore, it’s unlikely that a striker is on our shopping list this January. Perhaps in the summer we’ll have a better picture of who we need.
