Petr Cech took to Twitter on Monday morning to thank everyone for his man of the match award at the weekend and then rally Gooners ahead of the game against Chelsea.
In what will be his third game against his former club, Cech will be confident that Arsenal, free of Mike Dean (we hope), will be able to emulate what they did in the Community Shield this season when the two sides face off at the Emirates on Sunday.
Despite the clear feelings that he has for his old employers, Cech has not been one to hide behind his prior allegiances since moving across London and has shown no hesitation when celebrating against Chelsea. We love him even more for this.
On Twitter, the record-breaking keeper said
Thank you for the MOTM . Top of the league , let’s get ready for the weekend to stay there … https://t.co/cCGk9gBNXY

Cech was voted as MOTM ahead of Jack Butland who also enjoyed a great game in goal during Arsenal’s 0-0 draw at the Britannia.
