He might only be 24 but that doesn’t mean Steven Caulker doesn’t have experience.
A proper journey man who can’t quite find himself a home, Caulker has made a total of 29 appearances for Spurs, 46 for Yeovil Town, 30 for Bristol City, 26 for Swansea, 39 for Cardiff, 36 for QPR and just eight for Southampton before moving to Liverpool in what will be his fifth loan spell.
Needless to say, the reaction on Twitter was quite good when his signing was announced.
Some of these are good for very different reasons.
Steven Caulker’s last game was a 6-1 defeat at home to Liverpool. And now he’s playing for them. With Kolo Toure. Against Arsenal.

Would start Caulker vs Arsenal & United. Giroud is great in the air while Martial is lightening quick. Caulker should be able to deal w/both

Liverpool’s best strategy tomorrow is to play Caulker up front, tell him to mark Origi and hope Arsenal get confused.

Steven Caulker couldn’t get a game at Southampton, but could end up playing for #LFC against Arsenal… pic.twitter.com/F3w3QPIuFz

The spirit of Maldini will take over Caulker when he plays Arsenal

Today: Caulker eligible to play against Arsenal. Tomorrow: Caulker pulled his hamstring while eating a twizzler. #LFC #HamstringPool

See Liverpool has signed Caulker.. If they sign Titus Bramble as well they could have the worst centre backs in Premier league history!

I’m delighted for Steven Caulker. He is an immensely talented footballer & @LFC could just get the best from him.
