Nicklas Bendtner looks as if he could return to the Premier League after reportedly saying he wants to leave Wolfsburg.

The striker has made 16 appearances for the Bundesliga club and scored four goals so far this season. However, it appears the maverick isn’t content and wants to leave, with Bournemouth, Sunderland (again) and Aston Villa all supposedly interested.

To say the Dane has had a colourful career is a bit of an understatement. During his time at Arsenal he had some good times, after all, he did manage to score 47 goals. However, he also had quite a few bad times and he became better known for his bizarre behaviour off the pitch than his goalscoring ability on it.

After he kept our bench warm for the majority of the 2010/11 season, we saw fit to loan him out to Sunderland and then Juventus. After this, we saw no reason to bring him back. Robin van Persie was in the form of his life and we were never going to find a use for Bendtner, especially as he continued to moan about not playing enough.

Enter, Wolfsburg.

It would be fun to see Lord Bendtner back in the Premier League.

Just in case you need reminding, here are all 47 of Bendtner’s Arsenal goals. You are welcome.
