If you’ve been paying attention since the Stoke match, you’ll have heard our new song for Mesut Ozil.
Although West Ham fans have been raging all week, claiming that it’s their’s as they sing it about Dimitri Payet, it’s actually thought to have originated in the Scottish League when Celtic used to sing it about Paddy McCourt. Not that it matters, everyone nicks everyone’s songs in football. It’s not a big deal.
Earlier in the week, Arsenal photographer, Stuart MacFarlane tweeted that he was keen to show the German his new song before the Chelsea clash, and it seems he has!
This is the best one I’ve seen. ‘We Got Ozil’ #afc #Özil @MesutOzil1088 https://t.co/mnWeiKtf2Y via @YouTube

For those who’re asking, Mesut has heard the new song from Stoke and absolutely loves it. Pretty sure he’ll post something about it #Ozil

It seems Ozil loves the song and the fact that he appears to be genuinely touched by the gesture makes it even more important that we sing it as loud as possible against Chelsea on Sunday.
Heard about that brilliant song!😬👌😉 I have to say I’m more than proud to have you as our fans. Keep singing on! 😎🎤🎧🎼 https://t.co/dPBD6fzBJ6
