After signing Mohamed Elneny from Basel, Arsenal have supposedly set our sights on Watford striker, Odion Ighalo.
The striker is flying for Watford this season after scoring 14 goals in 22 appearances.
The 26-year-old might actually be a good addition to the squad. He’s experienced in the Premier League and is clearly capable of producing results, but he wouldn’t edge out the likes of Giroud, who should still remain our number one striker.
As I’ve said about other rumours linking us with various strikers, I think it’s far more likely that if we do sign one, it’ll be in the summer. We still have Welbeck to return to action and Walcott is still feeling out whether he’s better on the wing, up front or a combination of the two.
Come summer, Wenger will have a far clearer picture of whether we need another striker. Therefore, for the moment, I don’t think signing one will be on the cards.
