Arsenal are apparently closing in on the signing of two Nigerian u17 youth stars that have been linked with moves to Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City and Bayern Munich.
Kelechi Nwakali, 17, and Samuel Chukwueze, 16, were both part of the Nigerian u17 team that played at the last World Cup and it is believed they have chosen Arsenal because of Arsene Wenger despite the fact that Nwakali’s brother is currently contracted to City.
Both play in midfield and the club are said to be hopeful of bringing both to London before the transfer window closes at the start of February.
It is also thought that along with FC Basel’s Mohamed Elneny, who should complete his move to Arsenal this week after work permit problems, will be the only arrivals at the club during this window.
