According to L’Equipe, Arsenal are closing in on 17-year-old Monaco striker, Kylian Mbappe.

The Frenchman, who’s also used as a forward, has made six appearances for the Ligue 1 club so far this season and has managed an assist, which, considering his age, isn’t too bad at all. He’s also featured twice for the France u17s during his career so far.

The Independent are describing the youngster as the ‘next Anthony Martial’ and apparently Arsenal scout, Giles Grimandi, was in France to watch him in action very recently.

Mbappe is out of contract in the summer so it’s likely that this is one striker we will be signing, even if it means getting him for free later on.

Since he’s so young, not a lot is known about the Frenchman except that he’s got massive potential and is what many would deem to be a typical Arsene Wenger signing.
