Arsenal have been linked with a move for Simone Zaza for a while but now it appears we’ve been given a ‘boost’ after the Juventus striker handed in a transfer request.

The 24-year-old clearly wants a move away from the Serie A club but other than speculation, there’s not a lot which links us to the Italian.

So far this season, Zaza has scored five goals in 10 appearances, while last he scored 12 in 34. Although he’s obviously a capable striker, he’s certainly no better than what we’ve got and certainly not worth the £19.9m.

Giroud is doing a decent job up front this season and has so far scored 15 in 27 appearances, which is amazing, especially considering his shaky start.

Transfer request or not, I doubt we’re interested. Sorry Zaza.
