Chuba Akpom was involved in another win for Hull City against Reading (2-1) in the Championship on Wednesday but reacted badly to being substituted off.
The Arsenal loanee, who scored in Hull’s previous match against Bolton, was subbed off in the 78th minute for Snodgrass. The youngster didn’t take too kindly to being taken off and threw a bit of a tantrum.
After the match, the forward tweeted an apology for reacting the way he did and acknowledged that he probably let a few people down.
Hard fought win tonight. Let a lot of people down with my reaction, sorry to the fans, staff and club. Emotions got the better of me

It’s easy to forget that Akpom is only 20-years-old and throwing his toys out of the pram when he doesn’t get his own way is something he should, hopefully, grow out of. This is why loan spells are crucial in footballers’ development because not only can it teach them how to perform on the pitch, it can also help round their character. Even so, Akpom doesn’t seem like a bad kid, he just lets his emotions run away from him sometimes. Watch the reaction in question below.
