Arsene Wenger believes our injury troubles as of late are partially to blame for our bad spell.

A huge loss away to Bayern, followed by an insipid draw at home to Spurs and then a 2-1 defeat away to West Brom has demonstrated the extent of damage having multiple injuries to the first team can cause.

We’ve missed Theo’s speed, super-sub Oxlade-Chamberlain and the creativity of Rambo in midfield. Now, we’re going to miss the security of Coquelin for what looks like several months. It just keeps getting better.

Speaking before our Champions League match against Dinamo Zagreb, the boss admitted that, when everyone’s fit, he believes we have a ‘dangerous’ squad that could rival anyone.

“I believe that when everybody is back we have a squad to compete in both [the Premier League and Champions League],” he said.

“If we go through now in the Champions League we can be very dangerous for everybody.”

The depressing thing is, Wenger’s right. When everyone’s fit we’re almost unstoppable. We play stunning football and we were just starting to click before the Football Gods decided to strike us down in the prime of life.

But that doesn’t matter because we practically have no one fit at the moment.

Fortunately Rambo is now available and should be back in action. Please.
