Alexis Sanchez made one assist and scored two goals in our 3-0 victory over Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday.

The win was not only fantastic for confidence after a difficult month, but has given us a real, tangible chance of qualifying for the knock-out stages.

Despite not having a proper summer break because of his involvement in Copa America, Alexis is going from strength to strength and is a huge weapon (not in that way) against other teams. They can’t handle his combined speed and skill, and it’s wonderful to watch.

Even when we haven’t played at our best, the Chilean’s work rate is unrivaled.

After the win against Zagreb, Wenger spoke about the forward, as well as Giroud, who was instrumental in Ozil’s goal, describing them both as ‘real strikers’.

“He is just a very important player,” Wenger said.

“We have real strikers in Giroud and Alexis.”

Alexis is so versatile that I have no doubt that Giroud could get injured (that’s not a challenge, Football Gods) and he could move centrally without a problem at all.
