A visibly dejected Per Mertesacker spoke after our 5-1 loss to Bayern Munich and claimed that Arsenal played without courage.

The captain looked exhausted in his post-match interview and was clearly disappointed with the performance as well as the result. He said that the Bundesliga team were braver than us and simply scored too early for us to come back from.

It’s clear that Per takes these losses to heart, both as a captain and as a fan, but hopefully he can rally the troops ahead of our big north London derby on Sunday.
