More Arsenal fixtures have been moved so the Gunners can be shown live on TV, once again disregarding travelling fans.

A midweek games against Liverpool has been pushed back 24 hours to take place on a Wednesday night (January 13th) rather than a Tuesday, even though it will be impossible to get a train back to London after the game. The fixture computer shouldn’t churn games like that out in midweek match days in the first place, but it would be nice if the Premier League didn’t allow television companies to make it even worse by moving the game just two months before it takes place.

Stoke City has also been moved back, and will now be on Sunday, 17th January at 4pm. Thankfully there will be trains back after the match, but they’re already looking expensive. The last game to be moved, taking place the following weekend, is the Premier League visit of current champions Chelsea. That game will now also be played at 4pm.

So far this season, Arsenal have played 12 league games but just three have taken place at 3pm on a Saturday. Now the next 11 Premier League games will see a further three 3pm kick-offs on a Saturday, and it is understandably getting under the skin of supporters.

To watch games on a Sunday is understandable but an inconvenience, and no club should be asked to play all but 25% of their games on a Saturday afternoon.
