An England u17 side are preparing for the Elite round of the UEFA Women’s u17 Championships to be played in spring 2016 and will play Germany and France in Duisburg next month.

Goalkeeper Amelia Houghton-Boyle, defenders Anna Patten – who scored a hat-trick in the recent cup game against Millwall – Taylor Hinds and Lotte Wubben-Moy, and midfielders Laura Hooper and Anna Filbey are all in the squad.

England will play Germany on Tuesday the 15th of December and France on Saturday the 19th of December.

The draw for the Elite round will be made on the 13th of November with England in pot B. The pots are arranged as follows:

Pot A: Germany, France, Belgium, Spain (holders), Finland, Sweden

Pot B: Italy, Republic of Ireland, Denmark, Austria, England, Norway

Pot C: Poland, Netherlands, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Iceland, Switzerland

Pot D: Russia, Serbia, Greece, Hungary, Scotland, Northern Ireland

Each group comprises one team from each pot, with hosts then appointed to hold the mini-tournaments by the end of next March.

The six group winners and the runner-up with the best record against the sides first and third in their pool qualify to join hosts Belarus in the finals from 4 to 16 May 2016
