Arsenal are apparently getting ready to try and sign Napoli’s Jorginho in January after the club sent scouts to watch the player.

According to the Daily Star, the move could be happening in the next couple of months with Arsene Wenger apparently interested in signing the 23-year-old who first signed for the Italians in 2014 in a co-ownership deal.

That detail itself – that the player is owned by two clubs (Napoli and Verona) – could, in itself, be enough to end any Arsenal interest due to complexity of deals with so many parties involved.

Of course, this all assumes that Wenger will be looking to bring in a new midfielder but with so many already at his disposal you’d have to think this would be the last place the Arsenal boss would be thinking about reinforcing.

Then again, we all know that it is his secret dream to field a team featuring nothing but attacking midfielders, so who can rule it out totally?

Although Jorginho is Brazilian and has zero caps, he also holds an Italian passport so a work permit would not be an issue.
