The Development Team wore a black armband and had a minute of silence prior to the game against title rivals Chelsea. They won their game 5-2, being 4-0 up at half time after taking full advantage of a strong wind.
The starting XI was: Rogers; Ritchie-Williams, Parker, Wubben-Moy, Driscoll; Brunton-Wilde, G Allen; Kelly, Clarke, Dean; Devlin.
Subs used : S Allen (GK) for Rogers due to injury, Fyfe for Devlin, Stojko-Down for G Allen
Subs not used: Kiely
The u17 side won 3-0 away at Essex on a bumpy and wet pitch against a side set to defend the whole game in a 4-5-1 system. The team has won eight league games in eight and also their cup game so far. They are top of the London and South East u17 League.
On the transfer side, there are rumours of potential departures from a full-back and a winger, while a central midfielder and a full-back might sign up in the near future.
