It was an international week for the Arsenal Ladies players and many of the girls were on international duty as far as China for Alex Scott, who is likely to be tired for the FA WSL Contintal Cup final on Sunday.

England

China 2-1 England (friendly)

Alex Scott started the game and played 90 minutes.

England 1-0 Australia (friendly)

Alex Scott started the game and played 90 minutes once again.

Netherlands

France 1-2 Netherlands (friendly)

Sari Van Veenendaal and Dominique Janssen both started the game and played 90 minutes.

Poland 1-0 Netherlands  (friendly game abandoned at half-time due to floodlight failure)

Sari Van Veenendaal and Dominique Jansen were both unused subs.

Spain

Finland 1-2 Spain (Euro 2017 qualifier)

Marta Corredera and Natalia Pablos Sanchon were both unused subs for Spain, but Vicky Losada started the game and played the full 90 minutes.

Republic of Ireland

Portugal 1-2 Republic of Ireland

Emma Byrne played in goal for the Republic of Ireland.

England Youth teams

There are England U17 and U18/U19 training camps this week but the FA has not released the squad news.

Positive results overall, with the only question being around Alex Scott’s fitness as she played both games in China. With Marta Corredera not used against Finland, Pedro Losa will certainly have a good alternative at right-back as well as the option to use Dominique Janssen.
