David Ospina has been pretty quiet following Arsenal’s loss to Olympiacos in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The goalkeeper, who was controversially picked over the more experienced Petr Cech, bounced the ball over our own goal line, resulting in an own goal and the remaining fans who’d stood by him until then to lose their faith.
The Colombian has finally spoken out about his ‘tough week’ on Twitter, thanking the fans for their support (awkward) and also recognising his Ballon D’or nomination (I know, I know).
(1/2) Thanks for including me on the #BallonDor list..It’s been a tough week and I’m gutted about the game. Mistakes happen in football,

(2/2) but I train hard and I will make sure I come back stronger. Thanks to everyone who has supported me so far, it means a lot.. #AFC
