Per Mertesacker took to Twitter following Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Bayern Munich to hail the support from the fans during the match.
The win wasn’t just huge for the team but for the fans who have been there during the rougher times.
Despite the Gunners losing our previous two Champions League matches against Dinamo Zagreb and Olympiacos, the Emirates was in fine voice for the match against Bayern and the BFG has attributed the well-fought victory to this.
It just shows that the players do recognise our support and are thankful for it.

Gabriel, who was out through sickness, also took to Twitter to congratulate the boys.
