Manchester United have been handed a massive boost ahead of their game at the Emirates on Sunday with the news that Michael Carrick will be fit to face the Gunners.
Missing from United’s 2-1 Champions League win on Wednesday night, Carrick has been given the all clear after overcoming a ‘minor problem’.
Speaking to MUTV, Louis van Gaal said “Carrick can play so I have a choice.
“I’m happy to say that there are no injuries from last night.”
This is in contrast to arsenal who lost one of their most important players during their Champions League game.
Laurent Koscielny was taken off injured with what is said to be a hamstring strain and, if true, will certainly miss the game on Sunday and could even be a doubt for Bayern Munich’s arrival in the capital in just three weeks’ time.
Least it’s not his Achilles, eh?
Yippee.
