Over the past week or so, Alexis Sanchez has been linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Obviously as Arsenal signed him from Barcelona, the media can’t link him with a move there so they’ve opted for the next best thing with the rumours seemingly coming from nowhere and, thankfully, amounting to nothing very quickly.

As you’ve probably seen reported earlier this week, the Chilean star who is scoring for fun at the minute, gave an interview in his home country while on international duty and was asked about the links.

From what I’ve read, only part of his comments have been reported but, never fear, unlike other times, these haven’t been spun to make a sensational story – Al said nothing that should worry any of us.

Speaking to La Tercerea, here is his quote in full:

“I have no idea about what is being said. I feel comfortable at Arsenal, with my teammates. I’m not thinking of leaving here, I’m happy.

“Happy for my presence in the line-up, and I never settle for anything. I think in the present. I always set myself goals and push myself to be the best I can be.”
