We’re now 10 games into the Premier League season and Thierry Henry has seen enough.

Arsenal’s all-time top goalscorer thinks players all over the pitch are stepping up and it’ll be enough to clinch the title.

Despite a disappointing League Cup loss to Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday night there are plenty of reasons to remain optimistic. Four Premier League wins in a row have left Arsène Wenger’s men level on points with Manchester City, who are only top on goal difference. Can the Gunners do it?

“I genuinely think it is their year,” the Arsenal legend told talkSPORT“They are getting results against big teams now and are backing up those results after big games. That is the key.

“Theo Walcott playing in the middle is pushing [Olivier] Giroud, and Giroud playing in the middle when Theo isn’t playing is pushing Theo. There is healthy competition there now that you need in the game.”

Both strikers have found their shooting boots, and Giroud will need to continue his recent good form with Walcott facing a few weeks on the sidelines.

Behind them the midfield is shining and is left by Wenger’s crown jewel.

“Mesut Özil, as well, has finally woken up. You know what he can do. He is an amazing player, a World Cup winner, with the touch, the vision, but he wasn’t always doing it on a daily basis with Arsenal. Now he is doing it.

“Then you have [Santi] Cazorla. He is the brain of the team – the way he wants to play is how the team is going to play.”

That’s without even mentioning the star of the team.

“There is the X-factor you always need to have to win a title – Alexis Sanchez. He is the guy that you know, when he is in tune, it is very difficult to beat Arsenal.

“The back four is also doing very well. [Hector] Bellerin is doing well, Nacho Monreal is showing why he is at Arsenal and Petr Cech is doing what he is supposed to.”

Right now, it’s hard to think where Arsenal are going wrong. The team has a good balance and can win against any opposition. More importantly, they can win with different styles depending on the game.

Whether or not Henry is right remains to be seen – he’s a fan like the rest of us and can get carried away – but hopefully we’ll have plenty to celebrate in May.

Until then, let’s just see how the season unfolds.
