Sky Sports are ranking players based on stats, and Arsenal are coming out on top!

Let me explain a little. You get a certain number of points – according to your position – based on how many goals you score/dribbles you complete/tackles you win, etc.

So the players who do as much for their side as possible get as many points as possible. Right now, Arsenal are dominating. The Power Rankings are based on the last five weeks, and Arsenal have four of the top six players in the Premier League after winning four of the last five games.

Alexis Sánchez is ranked as the Premier League’s most in-form player, and is closely followed by Nacho Monreal. Laurent Koscielny and Mesut Özil also make the top six. Not bad! Olivier Giroud, Héctor Bellerín, Santi Cazorla and Petr Čech all find themselves in the top 15 as Arsenal dominate the rankings.

Sky also have Power Rankings for the entire season, where Arsenal players dominate once more. Five of Arsène Wenger’s players are in the top 10, with Santi Cazorla in 11th.

Another three players make the top 50. No matter which metric you use, or if you just watch games, it’s fairly clear to see that Arsenal have been very impressive so far this season.
