With the news that we’d all feared being confirmed on Tuesday, Arsene Wenger is confident that Jack Wilshere’s latest injury setback is not career threatening.

Suffering a broken ankle in training thanks to the tank that is Gabriel, Jack’s ankle has not healed properly and will now require a metal plate and three more months on the sidelines.

I’m not entirely sure who though his injury might put an end to his career, but seemingly someone did as Arsene Wenger was asked about it at his pre-Dinamo Zagreb press conference.

You’ll be glad to know that his career is not in danger. as if you thought it ever was…

For those who are intent on blaming Jack, it’s worth noting that this latest injury came from a tackle, as did his last one. In fact, when I was looking for the image above I came across the one below.

Look at Paddy McNair’s eyes and see if you can spot the ball anywhere in the picture. And this wasn’t even given as a free kick.
