After beating Spurs in the Capital One Cup 2-1 on Wednesday, Arsenal are due to face Sheffield Wednesday in the next round in late October.

Two goals from Mathieu Flamini secured Arsenal’s progression to the next round of the league cup, while the only goal Spurs could manage to score came from our own Calum Chambers (sorry Calum).

Arsenal are due to travel to Hillsborough Stadium on October 27th, which is a Tuesday and, predictably, it’ll be a 19:45 kick-off (UK time).

This time last season our cup run had already been cut short due to an embarrassing 2-1 loss to Southampton at the Emirates. Although the league cup is probably quite low down on our list of priorities, beating the Championship team, who currently sit 14th in their table, should be simple enough.

The Capital One Cup fixture comes in the middle of Premier League clashes at home to Everton and away to Swansea, so not necessarily the easiest week but we’ve had worse.
