Ray Parlour is the latest person associated with Arsenal to speak up about our lack of transfer activity over the summer.

The former player revealed recently that although he thinks signing Petr Cech from Chelsea was a great bit of business, we’re now under pressure after not singing any outfield players. According to the ex-midfielder, if we start losing games, the fans will start asking questions about this apparent £200m we have sitting in the bank.

In fact, Parlour went as far as to echo Paul Merson’s vehement statement that it isn’t Arsene Wenger’s money, it’s the fans’ and therefore he should spend it on behalf of them.

Although Parlour’s words don’t carry the same anger as Merson’s, the sentiment remains, and it does appear as if the spotlight has been firmly shinned back on Le Professeur.
