Ainsley Maitland-Niles earned a penalty and won Man of the Match for Ipswich Town against Birmingham on Friday in what ended as a 1-1 draw.
The result unfortunately meant the Tractor Boys missed the chance to go second in the Championship and instead leaves them level on points with Middlesbrough and Burnley (14).
PENALTY! @Ains_7 goes down in the box under a Spector challenge and #itfc have a spotkick!

The penalty that Maitland-Niles won was dubious to say the least as the 18-year-old picked up the ball deep in his own half and proceeded to run over three-quarters of the pitch by himself, only for Birmingham’s Jonathan Spector to slide tackle him right on the goal line.
Brett Pitman then slotted the ball home from the spot.
