As deadline day madness gets into full swing, one rumour that’s not showing any signs of dying down is the one that links Arsenal with Edinson Cavani.

With Arsene Wenger said to be in Paris, people are claiming that he’s there to negotiate for both Cavani and Adrien Rabiot.

A nice little story, for sure.

Sadly, the BBC are reporting that PSG have no intention of letting any players leave.

That said, it hasn’t stopped all the ITK accounts on Twitter claiming that updates are imminent but it would seem that this deal is dead – if it was even alive in the first place.

With the transfer window set to close at 6pm today, it remains to be seen if Arsenal will land any players but it seems that if they do it will not be the mega-star type than many fans are crying out for.

The inability to land another striker would also go some way to explaining why it seems that Joel Campbell will not be going anywhere in this window.
