Ian Wright has gone off on one again and this time he chose to unleash his wrath upon Manchester United and Wayne Rooney.

The Red Devils lost 2-1 to Swansea on Sunday after drawing 0-0 at home to Newcastle in the previous match and Wright seems perplexed by Louis van Gaal’s tactics.

“Rooney was taking too much time, he was too slow, and when he had the chance to shoot with his left foot he didn’t take it,” he said.

“I haven’t got a clue what Van Gaal is trying to do. What’s their system?

“Surely Manchester United have got to play with a bit more pace and thrust and tempo. They seemed desperate.”

This isn’t the first time Wright’s aired such a strong opinion and his comments are bound to go down horrifically with the large United fan base.
