The 2015/16 season kicked off with West Ham visiting the Emirates Stadium, and the Hammers left with all three points.
Only once in the past eight Premier League seasons has a side lost more than one home game in a season and gone on to win the title, so it is absolutely paramount that Arsenal recapture the form that has made our north London home a fortress in recent years.
Before the Wset Ham result the Gunners had lost just two of the last 37 Premier League matches at the Emirates Stadium, and Arsène Wenger knows the team need to go on a good home run again to mount a title challenge.

Arsenal are generally very strong at home but looked laboured in the defeat to West Ham. The performance against Crystal Palace last weekend was more encouraging, and Liverpool are next up as we seek not to lose any more ground on Manchester City.
Boss: “The fans deserve good home and away performances. Our job is to make people who love this club happy. You feel guilty when you don’t”

Boss: “We looked sharp at Crystal Palace. The result on Monday will be vital and we know it’s an important game.” #AFCvLFC — Arsenal FC (@Arsenal) August 21, 2015
Performances and results both matter, and we need to see an improvement in both, even though there was an improvement at Selhurst Park. Liverpool pose an even bigger threat and Wenger will desperately want his side to get their first home win of the season.
