After Marco Verratti revealed that he would be open to a move to just about anywhere in the world to play football, Arsenal have reportedly been put on red alert.

The 22-year-old midfielder currently plays for PSG but could potentially be looking to expand his horizons with a move.

To be fair, he did appear 48 times for the Ligue 1 club last season so is an established part of the first team. He also got 11 assists but just three goals.

Speaking recently, Veratti said, “You never know what can happen in the future. I’m doing well where I am and I’m not thinking about changing clubs.

“England, Spain and a return to Italy are possible options. The project is the most important thing.”

Well that settles that then.

In all seriousness, reports that we’ve been following him for a while are vague, and, let’s be honest, what young midfielder haven’t we been keeping tabs on?

The lad seems happy to move just about anywhere for football and there’s absolutely nothing tying him specifically with a move to north London. That’s if he does move – he does mention that he’s not even thinking of moving club right now.

To be honest, the comments just seem like typical off-the-cuff football talk.
