After beating Chelsea in the Community Shield 1-0, most of our players took to social media to applaud their teammates.
The players on the pitch, as well as the ones who weren’t, were ecstatic at another Community Shield win, the second year in a row.
Although the match was technically a pre-season friendly, we always knew the repercussions a win over Chelsea, and Arsene Wenger’s first win over Jose Mourinho, would mean for the mentality of the team.
We can now carry this victory into the new season with our heads held high.
Here’s what our squad had to say about the win on social media.
Four times in a row. So happy for the win, great way to start the season! #Wembley pic.twitter.com/mv68d0uVxJ
